Apple announces WWDC23 | What can you expect from the virtual event?

I had previously suggested that Apple would be announcing their WWDC anytime this week considering history and here we go, Apple today, announced WWDC23’s date and it is going to be on June 5th! The event could run through the week with multiple product launches.

Here is what you can expect from the event:

1. The classic WWDC seems to have ended

Apple was a pioneer when it came to live product launches, I mean, who can forget Steve Jobs’s iPhone launch event! The Keynote is going to be a video which shall be watched by developers and students like the ones that we have witnesses in the past 3 years during the COVID era. It would be nice if they brought back the live keynote addresses.

2. iOS17 and iPadOS17

As is the same every year, the new version of iOS and iPadOS will be announced with the subsequent launch of the first developer's Beta. iOS17 was supposed to be a tuneup release with some performance improvements but it is now going to be a bigger release with a lot of 'nice to have' features.

3. The AR/VR headset

The highly anticipated and speculated AR/VR headset is expected to be launched during the week of the WWDC23 and it can be groundbreaking. It is also being speculated that the event's theme image looks like lenses representing the Apple headset or the glasses. How exciting is this?

4. Other updates:

In addition to the above important announcements, there shall be the usual announcements like the tvOS17, macOS14, watchOS10 and ofcourse the very new xrOS.
