Apple | What iOS 17 has in store for us and which iPhones are going to get this update?

 It is yet another year and Apple is all prepared to launch their next version of the iPhone operating system. With all eyes on iOS 17 both from Apple fans and others, what is Apple planning to introduce in the newest version of the iOS? Here is a view of what looks like a big possibility that might make it to iOS 17, consolidated all leaks and what experts are expecting. 

1. When is the WWDC23 expected? 

Apple previously has usually announced their WWDC dates in the month of March/April. In 2020, three years ago, they announced their date on March 13th, in 2021 they announced it on March 30th and in 2022 it was on April 5th. Looking the trend, the dates seem to be moving ahead and we can expect Apple to announce their next WWDC date anytime in the next two weeks. Stay tuned for more updates...

2. Leaks and Expectations

One thing is for sure that Siri is way behind other voice assistants and we have been hearing that Apple has been working on making Siri... wait for it - "intelligent"! We saw this coming with ChatGPT making waves everywhere, looks like Apple is going to make Siri very similar to ChatGPT which is actually smarter and solves and answers your questions instantaneously. 

Aesthetic changes are also on the way with newer icons that suit the new iPhones. The iPhone have had these icons forever now and we think that it is high time we get new icons especially for default apps like calendar, clock, settings and many more. Speaking of aesthetic changes, widgets have been pretty useful and iOS apps have been making good use of them (I especially use these widgets widely for motivation like Duolingo and others). We might see some visual updates there as well. 

Apple has been very proud of their dynamic island and they might make good use of it this time! There have been only few notifications that appear on the Dynamic island while this year they might expand it to all apps which can make use of this unique feature. 

This being said, it is being buzzed around that Apple might not have any game changing features coming into iOS17 but a few aesthetically appealing upgrades and privacy updates is all. Follow this space for more updates on the iOS17 feature leaks. 

3. Which iPhones are getting iOS17?

Apple is known for providing software updates for the longest time among smartphone makers. Leaks suggest that iOS17 will be available for iPhones later than iPhone XS, XR.
